Contribute across the boundary.

Changes span Python interfaces, Rust workers, and the behaviour visible at output.

Start from a source checkout

Clone the repository, read its contributor instructions, and use make build for the development extension. The upstream developer guide describes the Rust and Python toolchain.

The source revision behind this site is f5bcaa8257f4c59a361dc4f41585b9ecccb9f345. The site’s examples were built in a separate environment, leaving the checked-out project’s package metadata unchanged.

Verify behaviour at the output

Follow upstream formatting, linting, typechecking, and test targets. Exercise producer-side validation, queue pressure, worker errors, and orderly shutdown. Include output assertions for API changes; an accepted logging call is not a delivery assertion.

For a bug report, include Python/platform versions, the build feature set, handler configuration, queue policy, observed diagnostics, and a small reproducer without credentials.
